(1) Assortment of six million users home reaching:
■ Revise the Telecommunication Act, propose to draw “Chunghwa Telecom corporation Transportation and Communications pipeline equipment rent enactment, coordinate the related departments to solve fixed network operators” problem of network erection, increase the number of domestic wide band users to two million and thirty thousand in the end of November in 2002. Among these, ADSL users amount about 1770000, cable modem users amount about 240000, and occupied-line users. That is above the annual goal of two hundred million in the end of 2002.
■ To finish the wireless wide band network executive operation system model which is helpful to generalize it to the whole nation by presenting models and extension.
■ To build and start the model area “national ocean animals museum wireless wide band introduction system” and to make wireless technology burrowed to people’s life by combining technology and culture.
■ As to advance IPv6, the NICI groups of the ExecutiveYuan has set up “IPv6 advancement working group” to be responsible for the enforcement and execution of the building program. As non-government part, “IPv6 Forum Taiwan” will be responsible for the application and generalization of IPv6 technology and it also successfully get our country for the right of holding “the first Asia Pacific Zone universe Ipv6 Colocation Summit”. In 2002 we have HiNet, Seednet, TANet, Academia Sinica computing center, TNN, NBEN, Chunghwa Telecom institute and these seven institutions have gotten licensed trading IPv6 address. The proportion amounts about 7% in Asia Pacific Zone and made the third string, just after Japan and Korean.

(2) Assortment of electronic life:
■ Government Information Office combined three broadcasting the television laws (Broadcasting and television law, cable radio and television law, satellite broadcasting and television law) and sent to the executive Yuan for council.
■ Draw up the revised draft of motion picture law. Press three public conferences of the motion picture law amendment in November and sent to the executive Yuan for council before the end of December in 2002.
■ Announce the government information office of the Executive Yuan movie subsidy law of 91, and put the animation movie into the law. In the same year, there was six animation movie program apply and now discuss and elect process is going on.
■ The network culture development program which the council for cultural affairs is responsible to carry out is continually renew the multi-language website and complete plentiful sequences like the digital museum and exhibition etc. Amid these, the website of National Palace Museum took the Golden website award from I.A.W.M.D in May of 2002, the best website award from Italia Barbara Tampieri in July, the best classic website award from Australia Lorri's Classic Site Award in December.
■ Syndicates Fictitious Taiwan demesne information center has been set up after the council in November twenty-fifth in 2002 and registered in Taiwan Taipei district court in December twenty-forth in the same year to provide initial demesne information service.

(3) Assortment of electronic business affairs:
■ Under the construction of Asia PKI Forum and cooperation between Chunghwa telecom and Taiwan network register center, we have completed the basic testing connection with Japan’s PKI (interaction) and continued the further test. Japan, Singapore, Korean have agreed to let our country join and carry out the second PKI connection test since November in 2002.
■ Constructively participate in activities related to APEC electronic business. In 2002, promote “Non-paper cross trade cooperation”. Advocate convenient environment for trading to connect with inter-nations and in June 24-26 in 2003, hold a seminar in Taipei with Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore to discuss the subsequent work.

(4) Assortment of electronic government:
■ Build the electronic government access website to provide information request, network appliance, and bilateral communicative service. According to the estimation to November 2002, the electronic government access website has provided two hundred and eleven on line services, that is above the goal two hundred three.
■ About the goal that roll of satisfaction to electronic government has to reach to 30%, according to the canvass of the Research Development and Evaluation Commission Executive Yuan in September second to third, thirty seven percent of people are satisfied with the services.
