King Polyechnic Engineering Co., Ltd. was founded in 1982. In its early stage, it engaged in petrol, chemistry, food, environmental protection, machinery and Manufacturing Automation planning, designing, purchasing and building. In recent years, it aggressive involves itself in high tech fields such as electronic engineering, semiconductors, electro-optical engineering, communication, and biotech. Its stock was first offered in July 2000. With its domain knowledge in traditional/high tech industries for almost 20 years, and with 35 years of experience in international trading, and with the network technology developed by itself, it successfully implemented Global Supplier Net (eGSN) in September 2000. The eGSN serves as a B2B e-market of industrial raw material, engineering material, and equipment.

eGSN provides e-catalogs, industrial information, price negotiating, quotation, and order management and tracking for industries through virtual websites. It also provides auctions and wholesale mechanisms. In 2002, it started to enter the secondhand market in mainland China and Southeast Asia. Its “Herald e-news” has become a communication channel for sellers and buyers. Lots of the corporation subscribers have started to publish selling or buying information. In 2003, King Polyechnic, registered in Industrial Development Bureau of Ministry of Economic Affairs, received an e-market promotion grant to take part in exhibitions overseas.

As a matter of fact, though the concept of e-commerce has been very popularized, there are still not many business that have obtained success through e-commerce. Therefore, in 2003, efforts of encouraging corporations to introduce information technology still have to be made to help business selling. In 2003, King Polyechnic sets its objective on expanding secondhand market to supply the needs of corporations in Taiwan, China and Hong Kong. It is going to introduce manufacturing automation to help more corporations improve efficiency and build a sound management system.
