The year 2002 is the year Acer Communications
faced its greatest changes. It has become an Internet
service unit under e-service groups of Acer Group
from the second category of telecommunication
operators, and its original business direction
has made great adjustment. The former business
services include exclusive network establishment
and operation (already has exclusive network establishment
and operation for lottery), virtual private network
(VPN), information transmission and additional
value (Frame Relay, packet switch network X.25,
and co-location service), and Internet (lease-line,
DSL, and connection). The major business in 2002
will be the establishment and maintenance of lottery
projects.
In 2003, Acer network service units will provide
excellent communication technological abilities,
abundant communication and information integration
experience. On the basis of communication professions,
it will fully support to integrate the Internet,
virtual network, system integration, financial
distribution and data centers within the group,
and will transform to information communication
services based on Acer’s 25 years of IT service
experience. The business conception of innovative
caring will be sustained to introduce “MegaMicro
e-enabling services” for enterprises to provide
e-services and solutions.
In addition, its business will transfer to
major in exclusive network establishment and
operation for enterprise customers, VPN, and
packet switch network X.25. Next, in order to
satisfy customers’ needs, services such as cutting
down telephone voice expenses, information transmission
and additional value (Frame Relay, packet switch
network X.25, and co-location service), and
Internet (lease-line, DSL).
