(1) Build the cooperation system of industry and
academy:
■ Before the end of 2001, accomplish the arrangement
of prospective mobile communication and start
to roll the related activities actively in 2002.
■ In 2002 and 2003 hold a series of related conferences
for the issue of B3G and invite the research institutes
like Industry Technique Research Institute, Chung-shan
Institute of science and technology, E-Commerce
Resources Center, Chunghwa telecom research institute
etc., and with dealers to discuss, cooperate,
and draw up foreseen research and industry cooperation
system program principles.
■ Foreseen research and industry cooperation system
program will jump off formally in January of 2004.
(2) Set up the universe system standard
■ Proceed the initial arrangement of “B3G standard
work group” in 2001 and carry it out formally
in 2002.
■ In the March of 2002, the management office
hold “B3G standard work group” public announcement
conference to lat people who are interested
can have a clear realization of B3G standard
activities and researches and by this to combine
the research energy of industry and academy
fields to join the set up of international B3G
system standards.
(3) National grogram second
foresight
■ Due to that the Executive Yuan enforce the
2008 national development focus program, the
program office invites each faculty and institute
to coordinate for the national develop program
and carry the focus on technique development
to the year 2008. In addition, carry out the
national telecom program secondary arrangement
work actively. Expect to turn Taiwan to be a
wireless mobile inter-net applied technologic
island by integrating and practicing the system.
■ In October of 2002, the foresight correspondence
technology and wide band optical fiber network
as the rachis bring the secondary concept briefing
to National Science Institute. After the first
evaluation conference, consultation and discussion
conference, directing group conference, and
the national science institute committeeman
conference, it is commonly supported and affirmed
by commissioners. And the consensus of continuing
the arrangement of the secondary national telecom
program is formed. In the future, the focus
will be continuing from the first stage of contribution
of wireless correspondence field and wide band
inter-net technology to move deeper in the spread
of B3G correspondence technology and broaden
to the field of network safety service and product
research, like wireless correspondence, wide
inter-net, network safety, digital concept,
and integration services.
