To enhance the high-quality diversified network
service of the information era, Chung Hwa Telcom’s
branch office aggressively invested in constructing
sea cables and satellite ground stations in accordance
with the past excellent cooperation relationship
between international communication industries.
At present, TWGate possesses the sea cables directly
connected to America, Europe, Asia, Mainland,
and Africa, and 14 ground stations, and communication
network connected to places all over the world.
Now, TWGate is aggressively building a wideband,
fast, high-quality network as an Internet service
provider (ISP) between local and international
networks, a bridge between government and enterprises,
an ISP of local ISP, and also can be regarded
as an international Internet exchange center,
similar to the local TWIX as the local exchange
center between local Internets.
Chung Hwa Telecom, which is a member of Asian
Communication Alliance (MAC) and such organization
is consisted of eight telecommunications companies
in the Asia Pacific region, reduces the communication
flow transferred through the States, and jointly
constructs a Full Mesh Asia Internet network
(AIN), and complies with the principles of the
maintenance guidance according to the signed
agreement. The telecommunications companies
of different countries are using the wideband
for the interconnection to provide a high-quality
network service as its important and urgent
business. Except the AIN connection, the TWGate
in Asian region has direct connections with
the Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao, and will
continue to have direct circuit connected with
other countries in the world. To cope with the
bandwidth requirement of the Internet era, TWGate
unceasingly expands the network architecture
gradually, and expects to keep a high-quality
and high-reliability to provide the best service
