In order to improve access to information on Internet connection bandwidths in Taiwan, TWNIC is planning to set up an online bandwidth registration and inquiry system. Besides providing ISPs with immediate access to the latest information on bandwidths, the system will also bring convenience to non-subscribing ISPs that wish to register online. It will also provide complete statistical information and charts on bandwidths in Taiwan.

The system will contain information on all domestic and international bandwidths for ISPs, network exchange centers, and other important network organizations islandwide. Other functions will be made available as the system is expanded, and the ultimate aim is to supply an effective operational interface that can provide businesses with complete statistical and analytical information. As a result, local and international inquirers will be able to gain a better understanding of Internet infrastructure and development in Taiwan.
